With an extensive scope of operations across Australia, Rocky’s Own Transport Co specialises in the provision of service excellence for difficult and complex freight and logistical tasks. Whether it is providing “turn key” military logistics to The Singaporean Armed Forces or transportation of a multi-million-dollar medical resonance-imaging trailer between regional hospitals throughout Queensland we really do try very hard and strive for constant improvement, because we “care”.
General Transport Services
The general freight division operates services to all regional or capital cities, servicing a variety of businesses from mining, building, construction, industrial, agriculture, manufacturing and production industries. Our fleet capabilities are such that we are able to provide transport services for anything from express parcel freight, general freight, full loads, bulk tipper, wide, heavy, or long loads and all forms of dangerous goods.
Explosive Transport Division
Rocky’s Own Transport Co is one of Australia’s leading carriers of high explosives with depots strategically located throughout Australia to meet all our customer service requirements and needs. This division operates to the highest possible transport safety and security standards delivering product to remote locations throughout our country.
Heavy Haulage Division
Our heavy haulage transport division offers a wide range of services. We are currently contracted to transport the Singapore Armed Forces leopard tanks throughout Australia in support of their annual military exercises. We also supply extensive heavy haulage services to the mining sector. If it’s heavy or over dimensional we can move it any time anywhere.
Bulk Dangerous Goods Division
Our bulk dangerous goods services specialise in the transportation of ammonium nitrate. We use a variety of equipment from B double road train tippers, shipping containers, ISO containers and flat tops for import and export bulker bags for these services. The freight movements are required to be performed to the highest possible transport security and safety standards due to the nature and sensitivity of the product. We currently transport these products throughout Australia.
Bulk Transport Division
This division is a key carrier of bulk commodities, servicing all areas. The bulk division operates throughout Queensland and specialises in bulk tallow, feeds, salt, meal, and hides, utilizing both tankers and tippers.
Refrigeration Transport Services
Our refrigerated transport division offers daily refrigerated services to customers between Rockhampton and Brisbane. We also have refrigerated warehouse facilitates at both our Rockhampton and Brisbane freight terminals allowing us to provide refrigerated storage services for frozen and chilled product.
Container Transport Services
We currently provide general container and ISO Container transport services in Brisbane, Gladstone, Rockhampton, Biloela, and Helidon. This division utilizes a variety of equipment from side loaders to purpose built light weight trailing equipment allowing us to maximize our carrying capacity. Currently this division transports approximately 80 to 90 containers per day, from our customer’s premises to and from shipping ports and rail heads. We also provide a wide range of port services unpacks, repack and port clearances.
Special Project Division
Our logistics project team have and continue to work on a variety of special projects including:
• Recovery transport services after the devastation of cyclone Larry.
• The Singapore Armed Forces annual exercise Wallaby in Central Queensland.
• The Australian and American joint military exercise Talisman Saber in Central Queensland.
• Delivery of power line construction materials to Central Queensland
• Wide and heavy loads for the Dalby power station
• We are currently registered with the construction syndicates of Bechtel and Santos for the Gladstone LNG plants and associated pipeline infrastructure.
